Iqwak Bhurji has been creating music his entire life. A true student of the musical arts, Iqwak has masterminded Klasikhz into the artistic phenomenon it is today. Many years ago, Iqwak had a vision to change the face of South Asian remixing, to take the collision of Eastern and Western sounds to new heights. Today, he has realized that vision through Klasikhz. Iqwak spends countless hours in the studios mixing, producing, and working to hone his skills and abilities. His ear for music and vast experience with multilayered tracks are simply unparalleled. While the Klasikhz team has been something of an evolution, Iqwak remains the solid foundation upon which it is built. He has a unique respect for his Sikh Punjabi roots, a true passion for traditional melodies of classic folk music, and a deep knowledge of hip hop, all of which combine to create the magic that is Klasikhz. He has empowered the success of some of the nation’s greatest dance teams, having produced mixes for clients such as DRP (Da Real Punjabiz), VCU Bhangra, and even “America’s Got Talent” semifinalist – Ishaara Dance Company. These teams seek Iqwak personally for guidance, knowing that they cannot find the same level of professionalism, experience, talent and creative genius in the market today.

Abhimanyu (Manu) Uberoi

Rhythms consume Manu’s life….from the banging of a dhol, to the intricacies of a bass line, to the beating of a heart. With more than 10 years of mainstream DJing in the San Diego club scene, his experience ranges from the most cutting edge to the most classic songs. Alongside DJing, he has explored various aspects of live entertainment, Punjabi bhangra dancing, and even dhol-playing, always adding new dimensions to his skills. In addition to these credentials, he has been professionally trained on the dhol by Ustaad Lal Singh Bhatti. He has played the dhol for several award-winning collegiate and community Bhangra teams, on which he also danced with great passion. Armed with a diverse set of tools and experiences, he knows how to infuse an event with crackling energy that is truly unforgettable. Beyond understanding the music, Manu understands the crowd. This is what sets him apart from other DJs in the game. Manu and Iqwak first began collaborating while dancing together on UCSD’s premiere Bhangra dance team DRP. They have been innovating together ever since. Today, Manu is helping to take Klasikhz to the next level. With humility and respect for the art of performing, Klasikhz is committed to providing only the highest level musical product and letting the music speak for itself.
